Improving awareness of WRVS
Improving awareness of WRVS

We need to improve awareness of who we are, what we do and how people and organisations can help us do more. Most people aren't aware of the great work WRVS does. That's partly because we've not been clear and consistent ourselves, but mainly because modern life is so noisy. There is so much information and so many organisations vying for people's attention and support, that to get yourself heard you need to say something distinctive and engaging, and you need to say it over and over again to as many people that will listen.

So we will need to find a distinctive way to promote WRVS and what we do, and each one of us from chief executive through managers, employees and volunteers will need to tell that story to the people around us, over and over again. In that way we'll build a brand and reputation that will do most of the work of attracting new volunteers, new funding and new partners. So alongside the development of the strategy we have been doing a lot of research on how best to build WRVS' reputation and brand so it will attract people's attention and gain their support. You'll be hearing more about the results of that work in April too.
